(Eames) stamp of approval.
Tuesday, June 17, 6:30–8:30pm
On June 16, the U.S. Postal Service will release the Charles and Ray Eames stamp to commemorate the designers’ significant contributions to modern furniture and interiors. Join us for an evening to honor this legacy. We’ll hold a screening of several of their short films, created between 1950 and 1982. Ranging from one to 30 minutes in length, they cover topics from toy tops to the world of Franklin and Jefferson, from simple sea creatures to the explanation of advanced mathematical and scientific concepts. As part of the evening’s festivities, we’ll raffle off a framed edition of the new Eames stamps. This is also a great chance to see the Eames-designed furniture that’s included in the Herman Miller® Sale, now in progress at DWR. Refreshments will be served.
RSVP to kirkland@dwr.com by June 15.
