Summer in the city.
Saturday, June 28, 11am–1pm
David Cieslak, an interior designer with national interior consultancy Pret-a-Habiter (www.pretusa.com, 1.800.205.0043), will turn his attention to exteriors during a lunch-time presentation on outdoor entertaining in the city. Addressing the dilemmas people face while entertaining in small spaces, the discussion will include shared deck situations, the flexibility of indoor/outdoor furniture and tips for maximizing storage space. The presentation will be about 30 minutes, after which he will provide free one-on-one consultations. While at the Studio, you’re sure to find additional inspirations included in the DWR Summer Sale. Refreshments will be served.
Pret-a-Habiter offers “ready-to-go” interior design and decoration for consumers who are interested in an easy-to-understand, lower cost and time-efficient approach to decorating their homes. The Chicago Tribune has singled out Pret-a-Habiter for its unique offering.
Based in New York City, with offices in Boston, Los Angeles, Chicago, St. Louis and Portland, their aim is to make interior design simple, fun and affordable.

Made for shade.
Tuesday, July 8, 6:30-8:30pm
An evening with Ward Usmar from Tuuci.
Join us for a presentation from Ward Usmar of Tuuci, maker of our Tuuci Hexagon and Razor Shade Platforms. Tuuci was founded by Dougan Clarke, a sailor who spent a decade in the marine industry. The company is known for its contract-quality outdoor furnishings, which have revolutionized the popular notion of shade systems – umbrellas are for cocktails, Tuuci was made for shade. Usmar will discuss Tuuci’s design and manufacturing processes. Stop in and enjoy an educational evening and summertime refreshments.
